Due Friday 3/30: For Friday, you will be reading chapters 4-7 of Dracula. You should also prepare a "close reading" post for the "Close Reading" page. This post will be much shorter than your traditional response papers (it should include just a quotation and an explication of that quotation, in which you explain why you find it interesting with regard to meaning of the text as a whole. Reminder: We will be holding class "virtually" on Friday, which means that you will have to go to the "Virtual Class" page and participate during the hours of 11:30 and 12:20 on Friday. I will be logged in and moderating! See you (virtually) then.
Due Wednesday 3/28: Read chapters 1-3 of Stoker's Dracula. On the "History" page of this site, write a paragraph in which you quote a selection from Judith Walkowitz's City of Dreadful Delight and briefly describe its connection to an element in the first three chapters of Dracula. Don't forget to 1) cite your references and 2) identify yourself!
You'll also want to try blogging informally on the "Blogging Dracula" page as you read the text or engage with this site!
